Explanation of Settings
Here is a detailed overview of all of the settings available within the app:

NOTE: Settings available while connected to camera WIFI are more limited than what is available in the app.
Camera Mode: Picture Mode: You will only receive pictures to the app. Pictures will also be saved to the SD card. On Pic + Video pictures will be sent to the app and videos will be saved to the SD card.
- NOTE: Videos for the Gen 1 Reveal and Reveal X will not be sent to the app- you will have to pull the SD card to view videos.
- The XB and SK model cameras will send the videos to the app when requested. The charges for those is $5.00 for 50 videos.Your send type in the app will also need to be set to timely to receive those videos.
- Video will start immediately after the picture is taken. A picture will send to the app once the Video is finished
Image Size: The HD quality of the image saved to the SD card. Images that come through to the app are compressed, thumbnail images. (NOTE: Gen 1 Reveal has options for 8MP, 12MP, and 24 MP; Reveal X has options for 8MP, 12MP, and 16MP)
Motion Sensitivity: Ranges from 0-9. 9 is the highest and 1 is the lowest, 0 is off. It is recommended to start in the middle and adjust sensitivity up or down as needed.
- If you are noticing many false triggers, please make sure the camera is not being triggered by any leaves, weeds, or brush and lower the sensitivity.
- It is recommended to face your cameras to the north to lessen false triggers by shadows as the sun rises/sets.
- If you are receiving non-stop images to the app when the camera is on very low sensitivity, you will want to check the camera's fresnel lens for animal damage (this is the PIR sensor located on the front of the camera- it is the curved plastic piece). Let Customer Support know if there has been animal damage and we can get your camera in for repair.
Work timer: If enabled, the camera will only work during designated times of the day. This option is useful when cameras are being used for security purposes, and only need to be on for a specific period during the day. (NOTE: start and end times are in military time)
Delay: The time between photos taken. (NOTE: Because this is a cellular camera, there will already be a delay of up to 2 minutes between photos if you have your send type set to timely. This is because the camera’s PIR sensor is required to turn off while connected to the server for security reasons) If you enable a delay, that will be on top of the time it takes the camera to connect to the server and send the picture to your app.
- A delay is generally recommended for cameras that are on a very high traffic area like a mineral/food source where it would be unnecessary to receive multiple pictures of the same subject in a short period so your data is not used up fast.
- Note: If the camera is set to Pic+Video, the picture will be sent to the app after the video is finished (add video length to the time between pictures sent to the app)
SD loop: Enable this setting to overwrite the oldest image on the SD card so the SD card never actually gets full (recommended).
Flash power: Brightness of the IR Low glow flash. (High or Low; NOTE: The Gen 1 Reveal and Reveal X have IR Low glow LEDs that are not visible to animals, but are visible to humans).
Night mode: Max distance is the brightest flash but moving animals may be blurry. This is recommended for cameras that are positioned over a vast area like a field or driveway. Min. blur is the lowest flash power and is designed to minimize blurriness, and is recommended for low distance detection (like on a feeder or in heavily wooded areas.) Balanced is a combination of the two.
Settings Check Instant: any settings changed in the app will be applied within a few minutes. (NOTE: This is only recommended for those using external power sources such as 12V or solar panel- this setting set to instant will drain your battery). Daily: Settings changed in the app will be applied when the camera checks in twice daily.
Video size: Quality of the video saved to the SD card; 1080p is highest (like your tv)
Video Time/Length: Length of videos taken. The X model can be up to 59 seconds. The XB and SK models are up to 15 seconds.
Battery Type: Select Alkaline, Lithium, or NiMh (rechargeable) for the AAs in your camera.
- If you are using an external power source such as a 12V battery or Solar Panel, select the type of AAs in the camera. The camera will know to run off the external power source first and use the AAs as a backup if needed.
Check-in Picture: This is a “Peace of mind setting”- The camera will take and send a picture at the same time, twice daily (time is randomly determined by the camera). This is to ensure that your camera is on and able to take/send pictures.
- NOTE: Check-in pictures are not designated as such in the app, and will appear to be a false trigger.
- This setting is recommended for low-traffic areas, where you may go days without receiving a picture.
Other settings available while not connected to camera WIFI:
Multi-Shot: A burst of consecutive photos taken. (1p-5p for Gen 1 Reveal; 1p-3p for Reveal X, XB, SK)
- The first picture of the burst will be sent to the app, the rest will be saved to the SD card.
Multi-Shot Interval: This is the time in between pictures taken. Can be set at 0-3 seconds. (Available only on the; Reveal X, XB, SK)
Send Type: This is the time in which your photos will send to you. You have three options.
- Timely: Receive pictures to the app as they are taken.
- Once/12 hours: Receive your photos twice daily.
- Once/24 hours: Receive your photos once daily.
Note: if batching your photos every 12/24 hours you will designate the send time in the app. (This will be listed in military time.) You will also only receive 200 pictures at a time. If your camera is expected to take more than 200 photos in the selected time frame, it is not recommended to use this feature. You will need to set the send type to timely to receive HD videos from your Reveal XB/SK as well.
